The 1930 U.S. Federal Census, New Jersey, Hudson, Kearney, District 308 was the source of the following information about the familial heritage of Eugene’s parents.
His father, William Eugene Rudomanski, was born in Poland but immigrated to the United States in 1904. Given his early age of 6, his father presumably went through school in the United States where he learned to speak English in addition to his native Polish language. His father was a carpenter.
Eugene’s mother (Mary Sawicki) was born in 1905. Her place of birth and immigration status is unknown . The Sawicki surname is recorded as decending from Poland and is a habitational name for someone from Sawica in Warmian-Masurian Vovodeship. (1)
Eugene graduated from Kearney High School, New Jersey, in 1942.
Given his recorded graduation in the year of 1942 (and the assumption that he would have attained age 18 upon completing High School), Eugene would have been born in 1924.
See additional photos section below to view a copy of page 28 from his 1942 High School Annual.
Eugene was afftectionately called “Rudy” or “Gene” per his listing in the Annual.
