Leonard Albert FRITZ, MM3-Machinist’s Mate Third Class

FRITZ, Leonard A

From a Facebook post by Nancy Mead Orr on Memorial Day, May 26, 2025: “He was on the Indy when she went down. We can only pray he took a direct hit and didn't suffer. He was married to my mother then and she never got over losing him. He was a kind soul from what I’m told, strong brave and a heart of gold. I inherited some of his instruments when mom passed. He loved to play his harmonica, his banjo, his accordion and his guitar. He like so so many deserve to be remembered on this day. Blessed are the ones lost at war.” Leonard's name is inscribed on the Tablets of The Missing in the American Manila Cemetery, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig, Philippines.
